Getting LegacyLens
Installing LegacyLens is three steps. No infrastructure jargon, no multi-page runbook to follow.
Download the bundle
One self-contained offline installer, available directly — no request or sign-up needed to download it. Nothing to assemble, no separate pieces to collect.
Run it — free for 7 days
One command starts everything — the app, the database, and the verification sandbox. Point it at your own S3 bucket and AI key (or leave them blank). No activation key needed — the trial starts automatically the first time it boots.
Get your activation key when ready
Tell us a bit about your environment. We review every request and reply within 1 business day with a signed license key — no credit card, no public sign-up. Drop it in and the app keeps running without interruption.
Common questions
Where does it run?
On a server you control — a VM in your own cloud account or on-prem, not a shared or hosted service. Your source code and data never leave your network.
Do we need internet access?
No. The installer is fully self-contained and works on a completely disconnected (air-gapped) network — including the free trial, which is timed against the server's own clock, not a remote check.
What does our team need to have ready?
A Linux server with Docker installed. Most platform/infrastructure teams have LegacyLens running in under 15 minutes.
Is our data sent anywhere?
Practically none. The one exception: the first time a free trial starts, it sends a single anonymous ping (a random ID and a timestamp — no code, no data) so we know trials are happening; that ping is best-effort and never required — an air-gapped server just never sends it and still gets the full 7 days. Outside that one moment, there's no phone-home, no telemetry, and the license itself is verified entirely offline.
